To live in hearts we leave behind, is not to die. (Thomas Campbell, Hallowed Ground)

When you’ve lost a loved one, it’s a devastating blow. And although nothing will bring them back, a warm, loving funeral will go some way to making the last goodbye a less painful one.

I commit to spending as long as it takes with a family to get to know the person they love. We’ll chat about them as individuals, their history, their relationship with the family and their friends. I’ll help you if you need suggestions for music, readings or poetry, and when I leave your home with all this information, you have a new friend for the duration of this difficult period.

The next stage is for me to craft a wonderful, personal and moving service for you. I’ll liaise with anyone else who needs to be involved – keeping you in touch with what is happening, and making sure you’re happy with everything that is being said on the day.

And then when the day finally comes, I’ll be there to present the service and make sure it all runs smoothly. And then I can step back, knowing you’ll be satisfied that the person whose life we’ve been celebrating has been truly acknowledged. And only via that route, does healing lie ahead……

Additional Experience

I also have experience of working with terminally-ill people, helping to shape their service before they pass away.  This allows them real peace of mind, knowing their last wishes will be met.

An Idea

If I can't fit everything you want to do into the service, then carry it over to the wake.  Photo boards, slide shows and memory boards all work really well at the wake, when people have time to appreciate them.
